Follow these simple steps, and create beautiful candles – all in a day’s work!

Ingredients
  • Candle Wick
  • Wax
  • Dried Flowers
  • Any Glass Jar, Container, or Tea Cup you wish to use for the candle
  • Pencil, spoon, or rod you don’t mind getting wax on
  • Essential Oils (Optional)

Step 1: Melting the Wax

You can use any kind of wax for your candle making. Buy them locally, online, or scrap together some, from old candles lying around your house – this is entirely up to you. The quantity also depends on how many candles you wish to make.

In a pan (that you do not mind getting waxy), pour all the wax, and on low heat start melting it. You can also use a microwave, but remember to keep stirring. Remember to melt the wax on low heat, so that it cools quickly and does not harm your flowers.

Step 2: Add the Wick and Dried Flowers

Put the candlewick and some of the dried flowers in your container. You can also use a little wax to stick the flowers to the walls of the container.

This way, the flowers will be visible more, giving the candles a better aesthetic. If you are using a mold, instead of making teacup candles or Mason jar candles, just put the flowers on the bottom, with the wick.

Step 3: Pour The Wax

Slowly pour melted wax in the container or mold. Keep adding dried flowers in between. Use a spoon, rod, or pencil to prod the flowers in place and spread them through the candle, generously. Once the container is full, put the pencil across the top and wrap the wick around it once to stop it from shifting while the wax cools.
Step 4: Cool, Decorate, and Pack

Let the wax cool down and if you are using a mold, take the candle out. Now, cut the wick to a required length. Now, if you were using a mold and wish to decorate it further; you can use a heated spoon to press a few more dried flowers and petals on the outside. You can also use small sticks for an aesthetically pleasing look.
